On The Issues
Today’s Choice for Atlantic County’s Tomorrow

Stabilizing Taxes

Sheriff candidate Frank BALLES will partner with all our municipalities to provide a coordinated Law Enforcement effort throughout the County.  Frank also plans to provide municipal prisoner transports that will keep your local police officers on your streets.  He will increase the warrant service to reduce the 5,500 outstanding criminal warrants.  Balles is committed to providing a safer Atlantic County for our Residents, Businesses, and Visitors.

Our Atlantic County Freeholders have made property tax relief their number one priority. Thanks to their efforts, the county tax rate has been cut for the eighth year in a row! Freeholder Frank SUTTON is running with Tom BALLISTRERI and Manny APONTE. Together they are committed to keeping Atlantic County moving in the right direction.

ATLANTIC COUNTY FREEHOLDERS HAVE:

  • Cut County tax rate 8 years in a row!
  • Preserved 10,000 acres of open space
  • Delivered over $25 million in road and bridge improvements

Reducing Traffic

Reducing TrafficOur Atlantic County Freeholders have delivered over $25 million dollars in vital road and bridge improvements that have made our roadways safer and easier to travel.  They’re working with county and state agencies to develop joint solutions to ease traffic congestion.  And Atlantic County now has a 24-hour Road Repair Hotline and email address so residents can inform the County directly about road/traffic problems.

Ballistreri, Aponte and Sutton will continue to invest the money necessary to expand and upgrade our roads while holding the line on taxes with fiscally responsible government policy.  They are committed to making sure Atlantic County residents get the most value possible for their tax dollars.

Controlling Development

Controlling DevelopmentWhen it comes to preserving farmland and open space, no county in New Jersey is doing more than Atlantic.  During the last 10 years, over 10,000 acres have been preserved through the county’s Open Space Partnership Program.

By preserving open space we keep our property values high and taxes stable.  Less development also means less of a demand for local services and schools – and that means less of burden is placed on taxpayers.

Ballistreri, Aponte and Sutton know how important is to control growth and stop over-development.  As our Freeholders, they’ll make sure Atlantic County remains #1 when it comes to protecting our valuable open space.
