Vote Column "B"
Tuesday, 04 November 2008

Dear Friend:

It has been a long campaign and I'm sure you'll be as happy as our candidates will be once Election Day arrives tomorrow.

This year's election has been dominated by the historic presidential election. But there are also important races in your backyard that deserve your attention as they affect your personal finances and quality of life.

FRANK BALLES is running for Atlantic County Sheriff to restore integrity and competence to that office. His opponent, Jim McGettigan, has been in office for 15 years. During that time, outstanding warrants have risen. McGettigan has abused taxpayers by receiving a pension and salary at the same time, for the same job, making $163,000/year. It's just not right.

Frank Balles knows we need to change the way the Sheriff's Office operates. As an experienced law enforcement official, he has the know-how to bring that change. Frank has pledged not to accept a pension during his service as Sheriff. He has also received endorsements this year from the Policemen's Benevolent Association and the Latino Law Enforcement Officers' Association --- who have confidence in Frank Balles to get the job done.

Atlantic County can't afford a Trenton lobbyist like Schroeder
Monday, 03 November 2008

Dear Friend:

The economy is struggling. And the last thing we need is higher taxes in Atlantic County.

But that's just what we'll get with the Schroeder/Cooper team.

Jim Schroeder is a career Trenton lobbyist who has advocated increasing taxes by almost $6 billion -- including higher taxes on those making as little as $30,000.

But there is an alternative to the Schroeder tax agenda.

Tom Ballistreri and Manny Aponte are committed to continuing the progress of our Freeholder Board in maintaining stable county propety taxes.

Under Republican leadership, the county tax rate has been cut for eight straight years.

That's a great record and something you don't find in Trenton.

So this Tuesday, let's reject the Trenton Democrat tax and spend mindset espoused by Schroeder and Cooper and vote to elect two leaders for Atlantic County's future with Tom Ballistreri and Manny Aponte.

Please forward this message to your friends and let's get the vote out for our Column "B" team!

A vote for Cooper means a vote for higher taxes
Sunday, 02 November 2008

Dear Friend:

The economy is hurting. And in Atlantic County, the last thing we need is a Freeholder Board that is against cutting taxes.

But that's exactly what Freeholder Alisa Cooper did in 2006.

Cooper voted against a bipartisan balanced budget which cut the county tax rate for the 6th straight year.

She was the only "no" vote. The only one who voted against cutting taxes!

And her two Democratic colleagues on the Board even voted in favor of it.

Forward this message to your friends today so we can stop the Trenton Democrats' campaign to increase taxes on Atlantic County families.

Thank you.

Keith Davis - Chairman
